Who We Are
FieldLane ("we," "us," "our") is a business communication platform for trade service contractors in the United States. We help service businesses automate customer communications including appointment reminders, arrival notifications, invoices, and feedback requests.
Information We Collect
We collect information that service businesses provide about their customers in order to deliver our communication services:
- Contact information: Name, phone number, email address, and service address. This information is provided to us by the service business, not collected directly from consumers.
- Service information: Appointment dates, service descriptions, invoice amounts, and payment status — as needed to send relevant communications.
- Communication records: Message delivery status and content, for service quality and compliance purposes.
- Feedback: Service ratings and feedback submitted through our review request system.
For waitlist signups on this website, we collect: name, email, business name, phone number (optional), primary trade, and team size.
How We Use Your Information
We use collected information exclusively to:
- Deliver appointment-related SMS and email communications on behalf of service businesses
- Process payments and send receipts
- Deliver estimates and work authorization documents
- Facilitate service feedback and review requests
- Maintain communication logs for dispute resolution
- Contact waitlist members about product availability
We do not sell, rent, or share personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Third-Party Service Providers
We use the following third-party services to operate our platform. These providers receive only the minimum information necessary to perform their function:
- Twilio — SMS message delivery
- Postmark — Transactional email delivery
- Stripe — Payment processing
- Microsoft Azure — Cloud hosting and data storage
- Auth0 — Authentication for business users (not consumers)
We do not share consumer phone numbers or personal information with advertisers, data brokers, or any parties unrelated to the delivery of our services.
Data Security
We protect your information using industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (TLS), encrypted storage for sensitive credentials, and access controls limiting data access to authorized personnel and systems only.
Data Retention
We retain communication records and customer information for as long as the service business maintains an active FieldLane account, plus a reasonable period afterward for legal and compliance purposes. Feedback and review data is retained to support ongoing business reputation management.
